While skiing one January in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone Park, I found this story written in the snow. A mouse was hopping on the surface of the snow eating grass seeds he found there. After he had been traveling for several hundred yards, he made a left turn and six jumps before a large bird caught him, picked him up and flew away. The tail feathers and wing prints of the bird were left to plainly illustrate the brief life and death event.
