Upper Geyser Basin, Steam and Fog

On clear mornings in the Upper Geyser Basin the steam from hundreds of

thermals climbs and drifts in the trees. The landscape changes every few

seconds as the steam hides and reveals different trees, snow banks, and

rocks. These diaphanous veils make a normally static landscape turn into a

steady show of texture, space, light, shadow, and form.
