Description
A small elk herd lives around Mammoth Hot Springs, the headquarters of Yellowstone. The elk seem to like the lawn grass as part of their summer diet and the warm ground for their winter beds. The base of Canary Spring invisible beyond the cow elk. The cow is walking away from an old reservoir.that now holds the runoff from Canary but used to supply water for a power plant that generated electricity for the Mammoth area one hundred years ago.
